Spey Fest Success

This years Spey Fest was a great success.  The Friday night ceilidh being the most exciting and enjoyable of all, as we got to welcome the current and past fiddlers on stage, spanning an age gap of nearly 30 years, for a whole night.

We also released our new CD, At The Arc not long before Spey Fest, and began selling them at Spey Fest, which has also been a success, but there are still plenty of copies!  If you do wish to purchase one speak to one of us at a gig, we are currently working on selling them on the website.

Thanks for your continued support and keep checking for more news updates.

A Night at the Albert Hall

On the 31st October last year our group of 18 Frontline Fiddlers led by James Alexander performed at a Cancer Research fundraiser at the Royal Albert Hall.  It was an oppourtunity of a lifetime and everyone was extrememly excited.  It was a festival of brass and voice but we had been asked by Syd Harris, one of the organisers, to play at the opening and the interval.

We were a great success and were inundated with compliments and praise backstage from members of the mass choir and brass band.  Some of the band members were even dancing in the ailes and we recieved a massive round of applause after each performance.  S6 pupil Claudia Smith even manged to perform a great flute solo.  As a special treat local fiddle maker Charlie Armour loaned all of the fiddlers one of his hand crafted fiddles for the occasion.

The whole trip far exceeded any of our hopes and dreams and everyone agrees that it was a chance of a lifetime to perform in such a prestigious venue.

Keep checking back for more news updates as this new year unfolds!

Open Doric Festival

Hi, Glenn here. The New admin.

This is a bit late...

The Open Doric Festival

Firstly, I would like to apologise for how late this is. I have been very busy over the past few weeks. Better late than never, eh!

The Gig went fine, even if the weather stopped a few others coming a good audience came.

Next gig details will be posted when possible.
